Adviser to President, Thailand Railway Technology Development Institute Project, NSTDA
Nakorn spent over 38 years working at the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). From 1973-1995 he worked in the Mechanical Engineering Department, the Engineer i/c Locomotive Design Division, Locomotive Repair Division and Locomotive Technical Division. He transferred to the Training and Development Bureau and became Chief, Policy and Planning Bureau in 1996. He was appointed Assistant General Manager in 2008 and Director, Special Programme Development Department in 2002. In 2006 he was appointed Deputy Governor of SRT, responsible for the Special Project and Construction Engineering as well as the Railway Electrification System Management. He was appointed the SRT Care Taking Governor from 2007 – 2008. After Nakorn retired in 2010, he became Advisor to the President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Ministry of Science and Technology and Acting Director of Thailand Railway Technology Development Institute Project. He has also been appointed a member of several Government special committees including the Environmental Initial Assessment Committee.
