Mr Patel joins the company from Laing O’Rourke, where he was Design & Development Leader for the rail sector, having previously held the position of Associate Director at Wilkinson Eyre for 15 years. His appointment marks a period of major expansion for Ramboll’s Transport division, which is set to grow over the coming year.

“We are delighted to welcome Vinny to the team and his appointment showcases our commitment to investing in the best talent in key growth areas,” said Dan Harvey, Ramboll Executive Director. “His experience and expertise in delivering large scale infrastructure projects will bring great value to our already extensive transport capability.”

Having worked in the infrastructure, commercial property and cultural sectors over 20 years, Mr Patel brings experience in delivering some of the UK’s most challenging and important transport projects, including recently leading the design management for numerous Crossrail stations.

Throughout his career, Mr Patel has led on large infrastructure projects such as London Underground’s Bank station and the High Speed 2 terminus station at Birmingham Curzon Street.

Furthermore, he has extensive design management experience, managing the design of the Northern Line extension, which is considered the centrepiece of the largest redevelopment in central London for over 30 years.
