DB Cargo Full Load Solutions has opened a Kyiv office to coordinate multimodal transport and strengthen supply chains between Ukraine and Europe.
DB Cargo Full Load Solutions, part of TRANSA Spedition GmbH, has opened a representative office in Kyiv to support Ukraine’s economic recovery and strengthen cross-border supply chains linking the country with the European Economic Area.
The office will coordinate multimodal transport and logistics services, primarily for European companies operating in industry, trade, infrastructure and aid sectors. Its initial focus will be on developing corridor solutions for goods and companies across various industries, with a local team establishing partner networks and managing customs procedures and border crossings on clients’ behalf.
Local expertise seen as critical
The company said local expertise would be essential to responding quickly to customer needs and infrastructure challenges given the current conditions in Ukraine, describing the office as an important foundation for scaling up transport logistics once reconstruction efforts gain pace.
The Kyiv office represents the latest step in more than four years of business development by DB Cargo FLS in Ukraine. During that period, the company has operated rail transport services to and from the country, helped establish humanitarian transport corridors supporting the EU’s Solidarity Lanes initiative, built a partner network, and deepened cooperation with national rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia. A dedicated Competence Centre Ukraine has also been set up.
The new services are aimed at supporting the reconstruction and long-term development of the Ukrainian market. DB Cargo FLS said the office reinforced its commitment to civil logistics in the country, with the goal of connecting Ukraine to Europe and aligning services with reconstruction needs.
“This is true pioneering work and an important foundation for a rapid and stable ramp-up of transport logistics as soon as Ukraine’s reconstruction gains momentum.”
Customers will benefit from a single point of contact combining local knowledge in Ukraine with DB Cargo’s wider European network, the company added.
