Our headquarters is in Osby, Sweden, where we design the vehicles, provide staff training, handle sales, engineering and service work.
One example of one of our long-standing partners is our successful collaboration with Overlines AB.
No vehicle is more important than the other… They positively impact our work, allowing us to keep our deadlines and deliver high quality.”
Overlines AB – focus on safety and quality
Overlines AB is a Swedish company that specialises in catenary work, both for new construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure. The company was founded in 2019 but has collaborated with us at Goldschmidt long before that through previous operations.
Overlines’ specialisation in their specific niche distinguishes them from other companies, resulting in a strong market position and a competitive advantage.
To provide deeper insight into Overlines’ work and our collaboration, we interviewed Mattias Lundström, Production Manager at Overlines AB. He shares insights into the company’s operations, safety work and their experience with Goldschmidt vehicles.
Safety comes first
Mattias Lundström emphasises that safety is a central part of Overlines’ work. Most employees have undergone the Swedish Transport Administration’s training programmes, and many of them started as interns, which has contributed to a competent and well trained team with strong skills in safety work.
Lundström underlines that safety work is embedded in the company’s operations. Every time they go out on track, careful safety and security planning is carried out. This requires both precision and time to ensure the work is carried out smoothly and safely.
Furthermore, he explains that the company’s road-rail vehicles, from Goldschmidt, undergo regular vehicle inspections and safety measures, including electrical safety work.
Goldschmidt has always been the preferred choice for Overlines, reflecting our long partnership, built on high customer satisfaction over the years.”
Why Goldschmidt?
According to Lundström, Goldschmidt has always been the preferred choice for Overlines, reflecting our long partnership, built on high customer satisfaction over the years.
“Overlines presented their requirements, and Goldschmidt responded accordingly.”
Among the specific requests for their vehicles were spacious cabins for crew accommodation and wire lifters to facilitate work.
High quality and versatile RRV for successful projects
Currently, Overlines has four Goldschmidt road-rail vehicles, which are used in all their projects. One of the latest projects involved work on the Rååbanan railway between Helsingborg in Sweden, where 30km of contact and auxiliary power lines were replaced.
“No vehicle is more important than the other… They positively impact our work, allowing us to keep our deadlines and deliver high quality.”
During the interview, Lundström also mentions that Overlines is awaiting a new delivery – a LRB26 TC 12-2T3, expected to be delivered soon.

Ongoing growth and a vision for the future
Lundström is optimistic about the future of Overlines and points out that the Swedish Transport Administration has announced an increase in catenary, which means a growing demand for their services.
Finally, he recommends Goldschmidt as a supplier and encourages interested companies to contact Overlines for more information about the vehicles they use.
