Cable 1 in Île-de-France will provide fast, sustainable urban transport, with Hitachi Rail and EASIER supplying integrated ticketing and accessibility-focused solutions.

Hitachi Rail and EASIER are partnering with Île-de-France Mobilités to deliver Cable 1, the first urban cable car in the Île-de-France region. The 4.5 km aerial line connects both ends of the route in just 18 minutes, replacing a 40-minute bus journey, and serves five stations.

Hitachi Rail provides the comprehensive ticketing system, including ticket vending machines linked to a back office connected to the Île-de-France Mobilités information system. EASIER, part of the IER Group (Bolloré Group), supplies around 60 validation gates. The integrated solution ensures smooth, secure travel, with a focus on accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility.

The system continues the technological approach used on the Grand Paris Express metro lines 15, 16, 17, and 18, supporting interoperability, streamlined maintenance, and consistency across the region’s transport network.

Cable 1 aligns with Île-de-France Mobilités’ sustainable mobility goals, providing a reliable alternative to private cars, reducing road congestion, lowering emissions, and improving daily life for commuters in Val-de-Marne.
