Mike’s railway career began in front line customer-facing roles in British Rail. After a period working for the Strategic Rail Authority and First Great Western, Mike returned to Chiltern as Performance and Planning Director, then as Commercial Director. He later joined Arriva Trains Wales, where he transformed performance and introduced a new standard pattern timetable throughout Wales. As Commercial Director, he led the partnership with the Welsh Government, and developed new passenger services and initiatives to drive passenger growth and stakeholder engagement.
