Maschinenfabrik Liezen und Gießerei has been a reliable partner for the railway industries for decades. The rail portfolio covers safety-relevant steel castings, a flexible one-stop-shop for rail technology components as well as equipment and plants to machine and maintain rails.

Product quality at the highest level
The railway industry big players rely on the high performance and excellent quality of MFL products that are a must in this product segment. To meet these sophisticated demands, highly qualified experts assure premium quality, reliability and top performance – Made in Austria.
An outstanding feature is the special flexibility covering all common testing procedures carried out in-house by the MFL testing experts up to level 3.

Development of castings using RPT and 3D printing
MFL manufactures exact castings with a mould size of 1,020 x 660 mm and a part weight of 0.5 – 150 kg by means of the shell mould casting process.
Developing the products together with the client is a special factor of success at MFL, and RPT using 3D printing is an integral part of this. Due to this process, first samples for the test bench can be fabricated very quickly, and the possibilities to design new products are almost unlimited.

Design-to-cost for rail components
As a supply partner for safety components, we cover all steps of the value-added chain for our clients, and they may freely choose from a modular system: we offer raw parts, individual welded parts and complete components as well as modules ready for installation. As always, the cost-effectiveness of the final products plays a key role. In close co-operation with the clients, design-to-cost product development ensures optimum results.
