Canadian Pacific Railway Limited and Kansas City Southern have signed a merger agreement to form a single-line rail network linking the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
The U.S. Surface Transportation Board will now step in to order CSX and NS to allow Amtrak access to their railroads in order to operate two daily services to the Gulf Coast.
