The new Stadler Flirt trains have been installed with Nomad’s open connectivity infrastructure and its next-generation R4551 platform. The manufacturer will deliver the new trains to Arriva, who will manage services in the Limburg (south) area of the country.
Nomad’s newest compact WiFi router architecture provides a platform which incorporates new state-of-the-art technologies such as integrated next-generation modems and access points, enabling the quick integration of additional operational applications.
Commenting on the partnership, Jean-Philippe Tissot, Nomad Digital EMEAI General Manager, said: “We view our relationship with Stadler as long-term and strategic. This new deployment further builds on Nomad’s strong market presence in the Netherlands, which includes a dedicated customer management and field-based team, providing a solid foundation on which to further develop our partnership with both Arriva and Stadler in the Netherlands.”
