At the InnoTrans in Berlin, the railway industry’s leading international trade fair, Deutsche Bahn today will present its DB Supplier Award for the fourth time. “The dependability and quality of our suppliers are the deciding factors for providing our customers with the best quality. With the DB Supplier Award, we recognise highly motivated and high performance companies,“ said Dr. Volker Kefer, Member of the DB AG Management Board responsible for Technology and Infrastructure.
Deutsche Bahn is one of the largest purchasers of goods and services from German industry. With an annual order volume of approx. EUR 20 billion, the Group secures around 600,000 jobs in Germany. DB has business relations with close to 35,000 suppliers worldwide. Deutsche Bahn presents its “DB Supplier of the Year” award at two-year intervals to suppliers who have demonstrated outstanding performance. Companies that have received the award are allowed to use it in their advertising.
