Brazil’s economy is providing a boost for the country’s railway network and significant investments are being made in new rail infrastructure. Mack Brooks has recently released ‘The Rail Market in Brazil – 2012’ – a report that provides a concise overview of Brazil’s railway system and the political and regulatory environment in which the network functions. Along with details about planned major infrastructure projects, active rail freight train operators and passenger operators, the report also lists a city-by-city guide of all current or planned rail, metro, light-rail and monorail systems in Brazil.
