Invensys Rail Dimetronic signed last 25th July the contract for the Signalling and Telecommunication system installation in Hasanbey Logistics Center, awarded by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). The company will supply a new Signalling system which includes Westrace Electronic Interlocking, train detection system, LED wayside signals, point machines and point heaters.

In addition, Invensys Rail Dimetronic will provide the energy, distribution and UPS systems; technical building and other civil works; installation, testing and commissioning of equipment supplied and training.

Hasanbey Logistics Center is strategically located in the north-west area of Turkey and with connection with the railway line Ankara- Eskisehir.

TCDD has received the bids from several companies, being the winner offer the one submitted by Invensys Rail Dimetronic, with a proven experience in the country.

Experience of Invensys Rail Dimetronic in Turkey

Invensys Rail Dimetronic has a strong commitment with the Turkish railway market, as the country is developing an ambitious modernization plan for its infrastructure with the aim of being a communications hub between Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Currently, Invensys Rail Dimetronic is delivering three projects for the Turkish railway market. On the one hand, the company has delivered the signalling and the ERTMS Level 1 for TCDD, the Turkish State Railways, in the Ankara-Konya High Speed Line and currently is deploying the upgrade to Level 2 and associated systems.

This complete project includes the implementation of Westrace Electronic Interlocking, FS3000 jointless track circuits, LED-type wayside signals, FUTUR 1300 (track) and FUTUR 3000 (on-board) Level 1 ERTMS and FUTUR 2500 Level 2 ERTMS system with RBC’s (Radio Block Centre), Juridical Recorder Unit, on board radio GSM-R and a CTC RAIL 9000 to be located at Ankara station.

In addition, Invensys Rail Dimetronic has been selected by DLH, the Turkish Directorate of Railways, Harbours and Airports Construction, to provide railway signalling and control technologies for the Gebze-Halkali Commuter Rail line, known as the CR3 Marmaray Project, the only line in the world to be equipped with both ERTMS and CBTC systems.

This contract includes the design, supply, tests and commissioning of the FUTUR 1300 Level 1 ERTMS and SIRIUS CBTC trackside equipment; a new signalling system including Westrace Electronic Interlocking; train detection systems (jointless track circuits and axle counters); LED wayside signals; CTC RAIL 9000 and the Telecommunication and SCADA systems for the entire project. The contract also includes maintenance for two years with an option to extend it to a further five years.

Finally, last January TCDD awarded Invensys Rail Dimetronic the contract to design, supply, install, test and commission the Signalling, Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and Telecommunications systems for the Bandirma-Menemen line in the Turkish railway network.
