2016 marks the end of construction work to transform Brussels’ Schuman railway station into a multimodal transport hub. This video records the progress of work over an eight year period and includes commissioning of the Schuman-Josaphat tunnel, part of the new Line161A built by Infrabel, which entered service in April 2016.

The Schuman intermodal hub now features two additional platforms and an upgraded interchange with metro Line 1. Development work also included adding two tracks, to four in total, on Line 161 between Schuman, Brussels Luxembourg and Watermael.
