Commuter podcast launched by Chiltern Railways

Chiltern Railways has announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind podcast dedicated to discussing customer questions and providing insider knowledge on a range of subjects and topics.

Customer Services Director at Chiltern Railways, Alan Riley, said: “We created this series because of the growing popularity in podcasts, especially among people on the move because of it being audio only. This podcast felt like a good addition to the work we do already to talk to our customers through things like social media and Meet the Manager events. We hope that customers will find it interesting and, as it is new for the industry, we would really welcome feedback.”

The podcast is part of the operator’s new initiative, complimenting other projects such as Tweet the Manager and Meet the Manager. The episodes will feature questions from customers at Aylesbury, High Wycombe, London Marylebone, Banbury and Birmingham Moor Street.

Every installment features guests from within the company, discussing commuter questions and contributing to a special insight piece into a specific area of the business – this includes Network Rail, on-board Wi-Fi and lost property.

Each episode is approximately 30 minutes long and there are currently six episodes available in the series, which will be released fortnightly. ‘Inside Track’ is available on Chiltern Railways on-board Wi-Fi, iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud.
