Xavier Champaud named as new Managing Director of Nomad Digital

Nomad Digital have announced that Xavier Champaud is to take up the role as its new Managing Director on 1 August 2020.

Xavier Champaud, currently Regional Centre & Site Managing Director for Alstom in Charleroi, will take up his new position with Nomad Digital on 1 August 2020 and will be based in the UK.

Xavier has many successful years leading within senior Alstom management and his appointment has been part of an Alstom exercise to identify the right person for this very important role.

Xavier said: “I’m looking forward to building on the good work laid down by Nomad’s Executive Team and would like to thank them, and Anthony Fowler, for this interim support. Backed by Alstom, we have a very exciting future, and I look forward to working with our team, our customers and our other stakeholders, continuing to build strong relationships.”

Having worked in the rail industry for 25 years, Xavier has covered a wide range of roles, from project directorship through to regional management and gained extensive experience in both the signalling and digital sector.

Before taking up his role with Alstom in Charleroi, Xavier previously worked in senior management roles in the UK with Alstom UK. Xavier has strong ties to the North East of England (Nomad head office base) and is looking forward to returning to the UK.

During the last few years, part of Nomad’s corporate strategy has focused on developing and strengthening Nomad’s overall business and brand, through the completion of the Alstom acquisition on 5 January 2017, they have established a very secure and prosperous future.
