Deutsche Bahn (DB) has announced Icomera will supply on-board internet to its fleet of high speed ICE passenger trains.

Swedish mobile connectivity provider Icomera will supply internet connectivity to DB’s fleet of high speed long distance ICE (Intercity-Express) passenger trains in Germany. The agreement includes installation on 260 existing ICE trains as well as a new fleet of over 100 trains which will be delivered over the next few years. Installation on the existing fleet will be complete by the end of 2016.

The mobile connectivity provider will fit its X-Series open application and connectivity platform which supports passenger Wi-Fi requirements.
