With its IRIS rev3.1 certification, Robel is so far the only railway maintenance machine company to meet the requirements defined by UNIFE (Union des Industries Ferroviaires Européennes).

IRIS, the International Railway Industry Standard, complements ISO 9001 in the railway sector and certifies design, production, maintenance and repair as well as services with the aim to ensure the high quality requirements in the railway industry throughout the supply chain.

Robel CEO, Wolfgang R. Fally, said: “Since its third revision, IRIS is supported fully by large international railway companies and will be mandatory in the supplier development. Our customers in the railway sector are also looking more and more at this standard when awarding contracts. We are proud to be the first ones who can promise certified quality for railway infrastructure maintenance machines.”
