Over the last few years, edilon)(sedra has improved its polyurethane range of materials and developed a new type of polyurethane material, called TRACKELAST RPU – a flexible integral skin, high-tech, elastomer, based on polyurethane with major advantages. The elastic properties of TRACKELAST RPU are particularly designed for the absorption of short intensive dynamic loads and vibrations. The elastomer maintains its performance even after a large number of load repetitions, under long lasting permanent loads and under various climate conditions. TRACKELAST RPU also accommodates the insulation of electric currents. This is an effective prevention against stray currents. Other key features and benefits of TRACKELAST RPU are its low dynamic stiffening in combination with extremely good temperature stabilities (working range -30°C to +70°C), the high mechanical strength and resistance against deterioration in aggressive environments, its weatherproof performance under harsh conditions and its very limited water absorption.
Extensive tests and trials have confirmed, that edilon)(sedra TRACKELAST RPU can be used in a wide range of railway track systems, such as rail pads (RP), baseplate pads (BPP), continuous rail strips clamping on the rail foot (CRS), rail strips (RS), undersleeper pads (USP), sleeper boot pads (SBP), sub ballast mats (SBM) and slab track mats (STM). edilon)(sedra TRACKELAST RPU can be produced in single and multiple layers in pad, strip and sheet sizes or in rolls. edilon)(sedra TRACKELAST RPU based products have been extensively tested at the leading test institutes, i.e. Technical University of Munich, according to the latest technical standards (i.e. DIN 45673-1 + ff ).
