InnoTrans 2018 is offering numerous services to ensure visits to the trade fair are both efficient and enjoyable.

A wide range of data and facts are provided online, focusing on the convention, exhibitors, products and innovations. In the build-up to the trade fair, held on 18-21 September 2018, visitors can make detailed plans and arrange appointments with important contacts. In addition to business tools, details are provided regarding travel, accommodation, the exhibition grounds and after-work events.

On the InnoTrans website is a Virtual Market Place. This is a tool for planning and networking, containing all the relevant contact information about exhibitors at InnoTrans. Using the virtual system, visitors can follow a series of direct links taking them to short profiles and products of their business partners.

An online ticket shop has been created so that tickets can be reserved in advance online, thereby avoiding waiting times at the entrances. The other advantage is the substantially reduced cost of admission. Ticket holders can also, on the day for which the ticket is valid, make use of public transport in all the fare zones, ABC, of the Berlin-Brandenburg transport network (VBB).

For travel to and from the event and hotel accommodation, visitors can make reservations online with the InnoTrans Travel Service. Trade visitors and exhibitors can take advantage of reduced fares offered by Deutsche Lufthansa and Deutsche Bahn.

Regular shuttle services will be available, with buses operating between the two airports, Tegel and Schönefeld, and InnoTrans. A reliable service is also provided throughout the exhibition grounds, with buses linking the various entrances, halls and Outdoor Display.

Visitors to InnoTrans can stay up to date at all times with free Wi-Fi throughout the exhibition. Not only does this enable them to stay informed about all aspects of their business but helps them to navigate the trade fair.

During the event, visitors will also be able to find out information on new developments by booking a place on one of the Innovation Tours. These last for approximately 90 minutes and address a variety of key topics within the transport sector. Participants can visit a number of selected exhibitors to gather insights and overviews of their products. In addition, the Innovation Report is available online with information on the latest products and world debuts.

Services and catering are an increasingly important factor in attracting and retaining customers throughout the railway sector. A special thematic route has been created at InnoTrans offering details about the latest trends. On this same subject experts will be speaking about innovations and developments, with the focus on customer satisfaction, at the newly created Onboard Hospitality Forum on 19 September.

The job market in the transport sector is becoming more and more interesting every year, not just in the rail industry, but in other areas as well. InnoTrans is therefore offering students from around the world career tours that will stop at selected exhibitors, where they can establish initial contact. This will be an opportunity not only for newcomers, but for young professionals wishing to broaden their knowledge.

At InnoTrans there is an emphasis on face-to-face meetings. On 21 September, CEOs and management executives can take part in Executive Tours. On these tours, which are individually organised for participants, they can meet with customers, established suppliers and potential new business partners.

Once again, the Speakers’ Corner will be present within the event, where exhibitors can speak freely for an hour on any subject. These are expected to be diverse and inspiring.
