As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause travel restrictions and border closures, the Rail Cargo Group has increased its services to replace road transport.
Following the acquisition of Rail Time Polska Sp. z.o.o. in 2019, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group's Carrier network has now expanded into 12 European countries.
The bi-weekly connection between Verona and Lübeck will work to relieve the stress of transit traffic and reduce carbon emissions.
The new TransFER line will connect Wels, Vienna and Budapest, and will create further network effects for intermodal solutions.
