The state of California plans to take the U.S. government to court following the decision to withdraw funding from the high-speed rail project.

The state of California plans to take the U.S. government to court following the decision to withdraw funding from the high-speed rail project.
The funding is expected to assist U.S. projects in repairing, replacing or rehabilitating publicly-owned railroad assets.
U.S. freight railroads are taking direct action to protect their employees, customers and infrastructure as Hurricane Florence is predicted to hit the eastern seaboard.
In selecting the grant winners, the FRA considered factors such as supporting economic vitality, leveraging federal funding and approaches to improve safety.
The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has issued the funding of $250 million in an effort to help strengthen rail safety in the U.S.
The U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao has announced that Mathew Sturges has been appointed Deputy Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
