BDŽ has ordered a total number of 10 Smartron locomotives from Siemens Mobility, with delivery expected to begin by February 2021.
The €70 million contract between Alstom and BDZ Passenger Services will provide rolling stock maintenance services for 22 diesel and 24 electric units.
The contract, worth €530 million, is to build a 153-kilometre section of a new high‐speed railway in Turkey between Istanbul and the border with Bulgaria.
