The win for rail services in the east of the Netherlands will strengthen its position as the largest privately operated regional train operator in the country.
Arriva Group have signed a new contract in Poland which begins in 2023 and will run for eight years up to 2030.
Chiltern Railways will continue operating its existing services for another six years, and will give them opportunity to continue plans for decarbonisation, fleet modernisation and improving customer experience.
The three-year extension, valued at £248 million, will see Bombardier continue its maintenance, overhaul, service and cleaning services for Arriva CrossCountry's Voyager and Super Voyager fleet.

Arriva has been operating rail services in Denmark for 15 years, with the Jutland contract currently constituting 13 per cent of the Danish rail network. The contract re-award marks the third consecutive time the Danish Ministry of Transport has chosen Arriva to run rail services in Jutland.
